Who are the coaches?

All on-snow training + workshops are delivered exclusively by current BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) examiners well-versed in training and assessment courses.

Our trainers undergo a rigorous selection process. They must possess current BASI trainer status, advanced skiing and teaching skills, holding the highest BASI Level 4 ISTD (International Ski Teacher Diploma) certification, which includes passing numerous technical, teaching, and mountain safety exams.

Are lift passes included?

Not on this course, there are different rates depending on your age so you book this directly with the ski pass office in Morzine or Avoriaz. You can purchase these online at the Morzine site here or the Avoriaz site here

Normally substantial savings can be made at the pre-sale rates until September. For example, a Full Portes du Soleil winter pass for those under 25 is €459 in the pre-sale.

Where can I work after my BASI Level 2?

There are two key things to consider:

  • Your working rights (what passport you hold and where you wish to work)

  • Your qualification recognition

A really good resource for answering these points is found here

We have partnerships with ski schools around the Alps that will accept your BASI Level 2 qualification.

The winter intake finishes just before the February half-term, so you could be straight into working a full week post-course! We will hold career workshops throughout the course to prepare and advise you on job/industry opportunities in Europe and the Southern Hemisphere. Info on where you can work can be found here.

What level of skier do I need to be?

We expect students to confidently link parallel turns down a red run in all conditions. You will be trained and assessed on green, blue and red runs. And bumps, steep slopes and off-piste terrain. If you’re unsure or a little nervous about your ability - that’s ok! Book a call with us and we can share video footage of minimum levels if you have any video footage of your skiing we can also analyse this.
